Winter Bench

After a heavy snowfall, in the corner of the ruins of the Old Mill sits a bench. Cold and silent now, was this the corner where a cosy chair once nestled?
Layers of Paint, freehand machine embroidery, deconstructed lace and scrunched up silk fabric, give Immediacy and a three dimensional effect. It isn’t obviously a picture made from fabric and I am asked “Is this really stitched?”
The medium I use, colours, textures and feel, excite and inspire me. It’s my pallet but I hope the effect and affect is far more important than the materials used to make it.
